Generalized slit plane

Definition

A generalized slit plane is a domain $U\subset \mathbb {C}$ such that $U$ is the set-theoretic complement in $\mathbb {C}$ of a simple ray going to infinity. Typically, we assume that the ray starts at zero. An example is the slit plane obtained by removing the non-positive real axis.
